The Mission of our Special Services Department of Holdenville Public School District is to identify children with disabilities and provide a free and appropriate education for them as prescribed by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

The staff of the Special Services Department believes that all students can learn skills that will enhance the quality of their lives regardless of developmental disabilities, socio-economic status, race, gender, or cultural considerations.

In partnership with the parents and community, our purpose is to encourage our students to achieve their fullest potential in a safe and caring environment that encourages the acquisition of knowledge.

CHILD FIND

The Holdenville School District is looking for children and young people from birth through 21 who may be in need of special education services. Public Law 101-476 mandated confidential evaluation and placement for the following: visually impaired, hearing impaired, physical disabilities, mental handicaps, speech or language disabilities,learning disabilities, emotional disturbances other special needs.
